Perfect Sentiments for #GDP076

Today I played along with the Global Design Project #GDP076
This week we are casing Kylie Bertucci. She is one of the co-creators of the Global Design Project along with Louise Sharp. Remember that when you CASE a project you can Copy And Selectively Edit - so take what you like from the design and make it your own. It might be the stamp set - the colors, the layout, the flowers, whatever you like that has inspired you to make a card of your own. Head over to the Global Design Project Challenge and plan to play along and see all of the fun projects.

I was inspired by the floral look of Kylie's card.  I used the Suite Sentiments stamp set for the sentiment. I also used the Detailed Floral Thinlits with the Bermuda Bay Glimmer Paper for added sparkle.
Do you love the look of the Glimmer Paper?  Choose the Glimmer Paper Stack as your free item when you spend $50 during Stampin' Up!'s Sale-A-bration until March 31.  See all the Free Sale-A-Bration item choices.  Click HERE to shop now.

Thankful Life For GDP075

Today I played along with the Global Design Project #GDP075. The theme challenge this week is so much fun!  I hope you are inspired by this week's challenge.  Head over to the Global Design Project Challenge and plan to play along and see all of the fun projects.

I used the Host stamp set from the Occasions Catalog called Thankful Life for this project.  You can purchase this stamp set with your Stampin' Rewards.  What are Stampin' Rewards you ask?

Well when you place an order of $150 or more you earn Stampin' Rewards.  And during Sale-A-Bration you can earn even more!  Check out the chart below:

Project Details:
  • I took the Blooms & Bliss DSP and layered that over a piece of Island Indigo card stock, then layered that over the Mint Macaron card base.
  • I stamped the vase in Island Indigo ink on Sahara Sand card stock.  Then I stamped the three step flower stamps in Island Indigo, Mint Macaron and Sahara Sand Ink.  This was super easy as there is a tab on each stamp that helps you line it up just right :)
  • Once I was finished with the stamping I adhered the image to a piece of Mint Macaron card stock and layered it over the front of the card with Stampin' Dimensionals.
  • I  stamped the sentiment from the Thankful Life stamp set in Island Indigo Ink on Whisper White card stock.  Then die cut it out using the Layering Ovals Framelits Dies and adhered it to the front of the card.
  • I die cut a butterfly using the Bold Butterfly Framelits with the new Sale-A-Bration item 6x6 Glimmer Paper Stack in Mint Macaron.
  • As a finishing touch I added a layer of pearls to the vase base.

Are you ready to Sale-A-Brate?  Choose a free item for each $50 you spend until March 31.  See your Free Sale-A-Bration item choices. Three brand new items will be available starting February 21.  Click HERE to shop now.
Here is a list of all of the Stampin' Up! products I used for this project:

Thoughts & Prayers...

For this card I used a three tier layout using Chocolate Chip, Crumb Cake and Very Vanilla card stock along with some retired sweater weather design series paper.

I love how the tree fills the background and draws your eye to the sentiment.  Thoughts & Prayers is such a wonderful stamp set to use for sympathy cards.  So sad to make, but so easy to send.  This card is going to a very dear family at the tragic loss of their son.

On this Valentine's Day, please let your loved ones know how much they mean to you, even if it's simply with a hug or a smile :)

Glimmer Make A Medallion For MOJO483

Today I played along with the Mojo Monday 483 card challenge.  It was an awesome sketch challenge this week from Julee Tilman.  Plan to play along and head over to Mojo Monday and see all of the fun projects.
I had to pre-order the 3 new sale-a-bration items from Stampin' Up!  They just arrived today and the Mojo Monday sketch was just the ticket to use the Make A Medallion Sale-A-Bration stamp set and the super glittery Glimmer Paper.  Both of these FREE items will be available to earn beginning February 21.  During Sale-A-Bration you get to choose 1 free item per $50 you spend until March 31.  Make sure to get your favorite free Sale-A-Bration items before they are gone!

Project Details:
  • I  stamped the sentiment from the NEW Sale-A-Bration Make A Medallion stamp set in Mint Macaron Ink on Whisper White card stock.  Then punched it out using the Classic Label punch.  A trick I found to get the Classic Label punched to the right length of your sentiment is to punch out once making sure it is lined up to the correct length on the left side.  Then punch a second time lining it up as shown in the picture below on the right side.  This way you can use the Classic Label punch for a variety of sentiment lengths.
  • I then layered the sentiment over the NEW Mint Macaron Glimmer Paper.  I cut the layer of Glimmer Paper out using the smallest framelit from the Bunch of Banners Framelits.
  • The stamped Medallion is cut out using the Stitched Shapes Framelits and stamped in Mint Macaron ink on Whisper White card stock.
  • The layered design series paper background comes from the retired It's My Party Design Series Paper Stack and is layered over Whisper White card stock.
  • For a finishing touch I used the some retired Mint Macaron ribbon lace.  Let me tell you I am going to be sad to say goodbye to Mint Macaron when it retires this May!
Thank you so much for stopping by today!!!  I have listed all of the Stampin' Up! products I used for this project below.
